-An adjustable wall that contains charcoal briquettes in a designated area.
-Can be used to hold hot coals on one side of grill for direct cooking above the coals and indirect cooking away from the coals.
-For low and slow cooking: Fill designated area with unlit briquettes, light one end of the coals and control how hot/fast the coals burn with ventilation adjustments.
-It is recommended to only use charcoal briquettes when banking coals against the kettle wall. Here is a statement from a Weber Customer Service Representative regarding the matter, “ Banking coals along the side of the kettle is acceptable, but you may want to avoid using lump charcoal in that situation due to its propensity to burn a bit hotter and faster than standard briquettes. “
